About Cloud Accounting Buzz

Cloud Accounting Buzz is a a blog written by Margaret Carey to share news, trends and my opinions on developments in the cloud accounting domain.

I am the owner of  accounting software specialist organisation  – Business EEz which provides practical and effective accounting software solutions to small to medium sized businesses.  I am a CPA qualified accountant, accredited/certified in Reckon Accounts, QuickBooks Online, Xero and Saasu and have worked with many small businesses implementing, training and supporting accounting software solutions.

When I first started in the industry, everything was totally desktop, but Cloud Accounting is now well and truly mainstream and organic. Software vendors are leapfrogging each other every week with new developments brought to market. so much so, it is hard to keep up to date.

Through Cloud Accouting Buzz  I want to share information and my opinion on these developments as they are announced or hit the market.

This supplements the blog on my website which is frequently on more general business and accounting topics although there are some cloud accounting discussions there.

  1. G’day Margaret – thanks for the article on the new Reckon One. From my experience with AccountRight Live, for many small businesses users it’s been great, but others with larger firms or more complex operations it’s had real challenges and problems – e.g. slow speed, with everything clod-linked (even the spell-checker), no API link as yet for add-ons currently using ODBC (e.g. CRM) and no links to full-function retail systems (e.g. Retail Manager). See you on the MYOB Community Forum or the Australian Bookkeepers Network, sometime soon. Once again, thanks.
