The Saasu Inspiration

Last week I attended the inaugural Saasu Cloud Conference. There was a mix of attendees – accountants and bookkeepers, techies and Saasu users. Consequently the presentations were also a mixed bag addressing topics of interest to the various groups. One message that came across loud and clear was that the accounting software (i.e. Saasu) is just one piece of the jigsaw puzzle that makes up all the software applications of a business, but that piece slotted in neatly and was automatically and dynamically linked to all the other pieces making a coherent whole.

It was really inspiring to hear how business owners had embraced this concept of a single integrated solution to link together disparate products such as CRM solutions, E-commerce, email marketing, banking, project management. point of sale systems, etc, with their accounting software. Inspiring because once again it demonstrates that far from being boring, accounting, has stepped up to the next level and is spearheading the business automation revolution.

And the finale – more inspiration! We were treated to a presentation from CEO Marc Lehmann on product rollouts that we can expect in the coming months – including a ‘revolutionary’ global tax system which amongst other things should provide a gateway into the Standard Business Reporting (SBR) of the Australian Government.

So we have an inspiring environment that is being supported by even more inspiring developments – a great day out!

It was lovely meeting you at #SaasuCloud last week and wow, what initiative you have putting together this blog so quickly. You’re an inspiration and I look forward to working with you more closely this year and beyond.

It was indeed a “great day out”
